How I work
As an integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and coach, I bring together my lived experience, professional work and academic knowledge to tailor therapy to your individual needs. I work collaboratively with you, focusing on building your self esteem and confidence to support meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that each of us is a unique individual. In therapy, I see and respect you as that unique person, and tailor my approach to meet your specific needs, no matter what stage of life or situation you are facing at the time.
In therapy, I work collaboratively with you to access your inner resources, strengthen areas of difficulty, and build on your existing strengths. The journey of self discovery can sometimes feel challenging or painful, especially when we look deeper to unravel the patterns and past experiences that no longer serve us. Within the therapeutic space, we work tenderly to untangle what has been weighing on your mind, as we explore the questions that may have felt out of reach. Within that safe holding space, we work together to reconnect with your authentic self and face life’s challenges with greater confidence.
During difficult times, it’s common for things to feel overwhelming or overly complicated. By thinking and reflecting together, we can begin to soften, to see, hear and understand the connection between your mind and body more clearly, enabling you to resolve challenges and find your own way forward.
“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.”
Professional experience
I have been working in private practice for the past 11 years, since I qualified as an integrative therapist. I have worked with adults, children and older people from diverse cultural backgrounds, ranging in age from 5 to 77.
During this time, I have worked with people experiencing a range of challenges, including autism, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, trauma, anxiety, depression and the impact of bullying.
Therapy experience
I believe each person’s experience is unique, and that therapy is not one size fits all. Our life journeys are different, and our upbringing, culture and experiences shape the way we think, feel and process information.
In therapy I aim to offer a safe, welcoming, compassionate and personalised space where you feel heard, supported and accepted without judgement, while respecting your belief system, values and culture.
I tailor my approach and interventions to support your needs and enhance your therapy process, whatever you are navigating in life.
Languages
I offer counselling in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
